Destiny game developer will keep its previous management and remain multiplatform

After the deal the studio will also have creative freedom and the right to self-publish their games.

According to the head of Bungie, by joining Sony, the studio will be more active in hiring new employees and implement their plans.

From 2000 to 2007 Bungie was part of Microsoft, and created for the company a series of shooter Halo, one of the flagship franchises for the Xbox.

In 2010, the company signed a deal with Activision Blizzard, with whom it developed Destiny. In 2019, Bungie terminated the contract and became independent again.
