The Tesla CEO admitted that he asked Gates if he was selling stock in the electric car maker.
Musk asked: "do you still have a half-billion-dollar short position against Tesla?", Gates replied, "unfortunately, I haven't closed it. I'd like to discuss charitable opportunities."
Musk responded that he did not perceive Gates' policy on philanthropy and climate change as "Tesla is doing everything it can to address climate change."
