Russian platform Atomyze plans to emit tokens that can be used to purchase residential real estate in Norilsk. It was reported to Bloomberg by Russian billionaire Vladimir Potanin.

Interros, a company controlled by the businessman, is an investor in the platform. Potanin found it difficult to give an exact date for the release of digital coins.

In addition to the blockchain platform, the credit institution Rosbank will participate in the project to issue tokens to buy apartments. It will launch a mortgage program linked to digital coins.

Potanin noted that citizens who want to move will be able to sell their apartments for digital currency. Subsequently they will be able to exchange it for residential real estate in another city or for fiat money. The billionaire stressed that Interros is trying to negotiate with Hermitage to issue NFTs.

Three years ago, Potatin said that Interros was busy developing a blockchain platform for trading digital coins that would be backed by metals. The billionaire promised to invest USD 100 million in its launch. At the time, Potanin noted that Norilsk Nickel wanted to sell up to 20% of the metal produced through the platform.
