Traders raised the value of ETH in the Goerli test network

The price of gETH on Goerli's test network jumped sharply, momentarily to $1.6. The value of the asset is now around $0.34.

Earlier, the LayerZero protocol added the ability to buy gETH. This was done for testers so they wouldn't have to request tokens from network developers or cranes.

"This is the beginning of the end of the Goerli testnet. My crane gave away about 6 million GETH for free. They are now worth about $4 million. My RPC node has served over 100 billion requests. Both are down right now. I'm going to miss Goerli," commented Polygon spokesperson Mudit Gupta.
