The U.K. is redoubling its efforts to boost IPOs. The country's IPO volumes in the first quarter of 2022 fell to a ten-year low and are close to the values of 2009, when markets were recovering from the global financial crisis.

The British market regulator last week proposed abandoning the separation of "premium" and "standard" listings. Creating a single category for companies intending to conduct an IPO would reduce business costs, making it easier to implement.
