The ministry notes that the microelectronics industry is critically dependent on foreign technology and suffers from an acute shortage of staff.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to remedy the situation through creation of electronic engineering industry and complete rejection of foreign technologies in chip design. According to the department's plan, Russian electronics will start "international expansion" after 2030.
By the way, the plan for the development of Russian microelectronics was designed back in 2020. But its implementation has only begun now after the conditions have critically changed.
Unfortunately, the Russian legislative system cannot boast the speed of decision-making and reaction to new challenges.
