The Libyan port of Zuwetina, south of Benghazi, halted the shipment of oil.

This happened after protesters appeared there against Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dbeiba, who refused to resign.

Port officials said that 1 million barrels of oil could not be loaded into a tanker because of the protesters' actions.

The shipment of oil is also suspended in the port of Mellit in western Libya. This happened after unidentified people stopped the production in the El-Fil field, the oil from which is exported through this port. The daily production at El-Fil is estimated at 65,000 barrels per day.
