This was confirmed by some users who received the corresponding letters, as well as by IB account administrator Alina Ananieva, who received comments on this issue from the American broker's representative in Europe.
The broker's support denied the information. Also, not all users have received the message from IB yet. There is no official statement yet.
- It is still possible to deposit currency into accounts - this requires that a Russian bank retains such a possibility.
