In the letter they ask to abandon the plans to introduce mandatory labeling of beer products consumed by more than 70 million Russians.
Otherwise - the letter says - the beer output in Russia will decrease by 20-30% with a proportional reduction of excise duties. The brewers also warn that the cost of beer will increase by 10%.
The industry has created about 0.5 million jobs and annually provides over 170 billion rubles in excise duties to the regional budgets.
