The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has published a settlement order with Poloniex on its website.
The exchange has struck a deal with the authorities and will pay a fine of $7.59m for breaching sanctions.
The charge covers the period from January 2014 to November 2019. At least 66,000 transactions totalling $15m were involved. Recall that the platform came under the scrutiny of OFAC for providing services in a number of countries to circumvent the ban.
