Annual inflation in the euro zone accelerated by 0.3% to 8.9% in July. The data turned out to be worse than forecasted, the European Central Bank will have to act more decisively. This is the highest figure in the history of calculations.
GDP in the EU rose despite zero values in Germany. For the second quarter, GDP grew 0.7% QoQ, the previous figure was at +0.6%. Year-on-year GDP grew by 4%, the previous year's growth was +5.4%.
