Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino published a provocative post on X (formerly Twitter). In it, he reflected on why USDT and USDC, are falling while a certain "newcomer" is rising:
"Isn't it interesting that USDT is under pressure (slightly, only within 10 bp), yet USDC, the main competitor that should benefit from the situation, is also sagging. Meanwhile, everyone is getting a sudden newcomer that appeared just 2 days ago. This is perfectly normal and not manipulative at all. There is no way some people will learn," he stated.
Ardoino did not point to Binance directly. However, the very same "competitor that appeared two days ago" could be FDUSD, as the platform previously held a listing of the stablecoin and introduced zero commission on the FDUSD/BTC trading pair.
