FNB offered airlines loans for 15 years at 1.5% to buy back foreign planes. However, airlines will not be able to make buyback deals because EU and U.S. sanctions do not allow foreigners to make such deals.
But there is still a slim chance that the U.S. and EU will issue general licenses to buy back sanctioned planes.
